The Pakistan cricket team defeated South Africa by four wickets in the decisive third T20I on Thursday, securing the series 2-1. The hosts successfully chased a target of 140 with one over to spare.
South Africa, who elected to bat first, were restricted to 139 for 9 after their innings never recovered from losing two wickets in the opening over.
In reply, Pakistan’s chase was anchored by a composed 68 from captain Babar Azam. Despite a late stumble that saw a cluster of wickets fall, the home side maintained its nerve to clinch the victory and the series.
