PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will inaugurate his new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet today, finalizing its composition despite a significant hurdle. Afridi had previously cited a meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Rawalpindi Central Jail as crucial to the process, a meeting that was ultimately denied.
Nevertheless, the 13-member cabinet, featuring 10 ministers, two advisers, and one special assistant, is set to be sworn in at the Governor’s House. The list was formally approved by Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.
Afridi highlighted that his selections prioritize a commitment to public service above all else. He confirmed that the current lineup was settled upon with guidance from the PTI chairman and left the door open for adding more members in the future.
