In a significant development, Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban regime have pledged to uphold a ceasefire after a fresh round of negotiations in Istanbul. The agreement was confirmed late Thursday by Turkey’s Foreign Ministry, signaling a step toward easing tensions in the region.
Further modalities of the implementation will be discussed and decided in a principal level meeting in Istanbul on 6 November 2025.
