RAWALPINDI: For the sixth time, an anti-terrorism court has been forced to reissue non-bailable arrest warrants for Aleema Khan, as she and her lawyers failed to appear for a hearing on Thursday.
Presiding Judge Amjad Ali Shah received official confirmation from NADRA that the agency has blocked Khan’s national identity card and passport, acting on the court’s earlier instructions.
The court also dealt with a co-suspect, Arif Khan, remanding him to prison for failing to meet bail conditions related to a protest vehicle. With these actions complete, the court adjourned and tasked the prosecution with preparing for the next session.
